Glossary

Every word the app uses, A to Z. Words in bold are spelled the way the app shows them.

A

• Account: Settings group with Sign out, Delete account, Privacy and Help (these docs).
• Accept newsletters: switch that turns your newsletter address on or off.
• Add a book: the Books button and page where you pick a file, check its chapters and start.
• Add your API key, Set up sharing: the two steps on an empty feed.
• Advanced: server address and token: a clipper setting. Change it only if support asks.
• AI model: Settings group with your OpenRouter key, Model and Backup model. On a phone its row says Key needed until a key is saved.
• All sorted: what Review says when nothing waits.
• Allow access?, Allow, Deny: the screen where you let Claude use your library.
• Allow access, Open the list: clipper buttons to let Chrome read the sites you save from, and to open the Waiting page.
• API key: the field for your OpenRouter key. API key set or No API key at the bottom of the computer sidebar says whether one is saved.
• Appearance: Settings group for the look, the mode and Reading text.
• Approve: moves a resource from Review into your list as To try. Approve all takes every row shown, Approve the N sure ones only the Sure rows, Approve, next the open row then the next, Approve as (phone) uses the type you picked.
• Archive: takes an item out of the feed without marking it good ("Archived", or "Moved to Archive" for books and artifacts). Also the page of everything you cleared, filtered by All, Saves, Books, Artifacts.
• Archived (N): the Archive group for archived items.
• Artifacts: tab for documents Claude sends you.
• As they arrive, Once a day at: when notifications are sent.

B

• Backup model: used when your model fails three times.
• Book (type): resource type for a book to read, not a book in Books.
• Book chapter style, Book guide style: your own rules for book chapters and the whole-book guide.
• Book notes: tools, people and books a book cites.
• Bookmark, Kept as a Bookmark: resource type for a link that fits no other type. When File as resources finds nothing, the link itself is kept as a Bookmark.
• Books: tab for your books and their guides.

C

• capture token, capture URL: the key and address scripts use to save, under Capture token for scripts. Regenerate token replaces the token and disconnects every script and clipper.
• Capture: Settings group for how links get in: Share to Lazy Reader, Instagram, Waiting saves, Newsletter inbox, capture token. Capture setup → in the computer sidebar opens it.
• chapter tier: Read in full, Summary is enough or Skip.
• Check again: looks for a link shared from your iPhone. The row then says Working or Not tested.
• Chrome clipper: the Lazy Reader Clipper add-on for Chrome.
• Claude's pick: the type Claude chose in Review. Claude is picking a type means it has not yet.
• Clear filters: shows every row again.
• Connect Chrome clipper: Capture button shown when this browser has the clipper.
• Connect this browser: links your clipper to your account.
• Connection, Connected to Lazy Reader, Not connected: the clipper's connection settings and states. Its other sections are Sync, Shortcuts and About; Change in Chrome opens Chrome's page for the clipper's keys.
• connector, MCP connector: the link that lets Claude save, search and send documents.
• consent screen: the Allow access? page.
• Continue with Apple, Continue with Google, Email me a link: the ways to sign in. After an email you see Check your email.
• Copy: copies a prompt or skill.
• Couldn't describe this yet: a resource without What it does.
• Couldn't open: a page that could not be read.
• Couldn't summarize: heading on a failed item, with the reason.

D

• Delete, Delete this item: removes an item for good, after a question.
• Delete account: deletes everything after you type DELETE.
• Delete series: deletes a series' issues at once.
• Deliveries: notification for a newsletter or a document from Claude.
• Download everything: a zip of your library as Markdown.

E

• Edit types: add (Add type), rename, recolor, reorder, merge and delete resource types. A type Starts with a link or Starts with text. Types opens it on a computer.
• Exercises: a book's exercises, each judged against your goal.
• Experimental: a clipper sync that can stop working without notice.

F

• Failed: a save that went wrong for another reason than a key or a paywall.
• Feed: your saves not cleared yet, newest first.
• File: phone swipe button for File as resources.
• File as resources: pulls the tools, prompts and skills an article names into Review. Filed means done.
• Finish now: asks the clipper to finish waiting saves now.
• Finish waiting articles: clipper setting that reads paywalled saves with your logins.
• Fix it in Settings, Go to Settings: open the group where a key is missing or broken.
• Fixed start, Fixed end, Your rules: locked and editable parts of a style.
• From:: the article a resource came from.
• front or back matter: a chapter that starts unticked.
• full text, Read the full text: the whole article, under the summary.

G

• Group, Ungroup: one block per type in the Resources table, and back.

I

• I confirmed: press after confirming Gmail forwarding.
• In progress: books being summarized or stopped.
• item: one thing in your library: a save, book or artifact.

L

• Latest mail: recent emails to your address and what happened: Saved, Already saved, Too big, No article text, Gmail confirmation, Something went wrong, Address changed, Substack notice.
• Library: finished books.
• Load 100 older saves: brings in older saves from one site.
• look: Lazy Reader or iPhone style.

M

• Map: table of a book's chapters, tiers and minutes. Starts closed.
• Members only: behind a membership the clipper could not read.
• Merge into…: moves a type's resources into another type.
• mode: Light, Dark or Auto (follows your device).
• Model: the OpenRouter model that writes summaries.
• Move to feed: puts a link The model skipped back in the feed.

N

• Needs a key: waiting for a key you have not added.
• Needs your key: Waiting page group for key problems.
• New, New resource: add a resource by hand.
• Newest, Oldest: the feed's order.
• Newsletter inbox, Your address, Rotate address: your forwarding address and the button that replaces it.
• No text saved: a Review row without text.
• Notes: text kept with a resource.
• Notifications: alerts: Notifications on this iPhone (or on this browser), Tell me when, Quiet hours, When to send, Send a test, Your devices.

O

• Older: the next 50 feed rows.
• One-off, Recurring, Series: a single artifact, the section for series, and the chip on a series issue.
• Open, View: buttons in a message that open the new item, or the Archive page.
• Open original, Open in Claude, Open link: open something on its own site.
• OpenRouter key: your key for the models that write summaries, saved with Save key (Get a key opens OpenRouter). Key works confirms it.
• origin chip: where an item came from: Medium, Substack, YouTube, Instagram, Newsletter, Clipper, iPhone, Lazy Reader, Claude, Pulled out (from an article) or Imported.

• Partial guide: a guide from some chapters only.
• Past issues: a series' issues.
• Pick a type first: a Review row that needs a type.
• Pick an EPUB or a text PDF, Pick another file: Add a book's file button.
• Plan: a book's reading plan, in minutes.
• prompt: resource type for text you paste into an AI chat.

Q

• Queued: summary being written.
• Quick clip: clipper key that saves the page at once.
• Quiet hours: hours without alerts.

R

• Reach for it when: when to use a resource.
• Read now, Read later, File it: an old clipper menu. Every save lands in the feed whatever you pick.
• Reading taste: What I care about and the three styles.
• Reading text: Text size and Font for summaries, also behind Aa on an item.
• reference, repo, skill, tool: types for a page you look things up in, a code repository, an AI assistant skill, an app or service.
• Reprocess, Reprocessing: run Review rows again.
• Resource: something kept to use again, with a type and a status.
• Retry, Stop, This book stopped, Write a guide from what is done: controls for a working book. Its row says Getting started, Summarizing, a count such as "7 of 20 chapters", or Stopped. Open it to retry; each chapter says Waiting, Summarizing, Done or Left out until the guide is ready.
• Review, To review: where new resources wait, and the card that opens it.

• save: a saved link.
• Save a link: the button and box for pasting an address.
• Save to Lazy Reader: the clipper's save button.
• Saves waiting for full text: feed link to the Waiting page.
• Set status…, Change type…: change ticked resources at once.
• Setup: shown while a step is left: OpenRouter key (Needed, Saved) and Share to Lazy Reader. Show me opens it on a phone.
• Share to Lazy Reader: saving from the iPhone share sheet.
• Show changes, Hide changes, Use my own, Keep mine, Back to standard: buttons on a style.
• Showing N: saves shown.
• Sign in with Lazy Reader: clipper button that opens the connect page.

• Unarchive: brings an item back.
• Undo: reverses the last action.
• Usage: what Lazy Reader used on your keys.

W

• Waiting, Waiting saves: the page of saves that need you, and its Capture row.
• Waiting for full text: behind a paywall; the clipper finishes it.
• Waiting for transcript: a YouTube save the iPhone app fills in.
• What I care about: your interests, sent with every summary.
• What it does: two or three sentences on a resource.
• What you should walk away with: a book guide's main points.
• Why are you reading this?: a book's optional goal.
• Worth it, Worth it (N): out of the feed, remembered as good, and its Archive group.

Y

• Your copy: Settings group with Download everything.
